COURSE CONTENTS & STRUCTURE
We call your first day "Straight In." That's because within minutes of starting the course you will get straight into the action with machine projection. As the image shows above, you will immediately get to experience just how fast projection applied materials are. Initially, most people feel a bit intimidated by plastering machines. So that's why we quickly and completely break down that barrier and have you in full control of an application on the wall and starting to feel confident. The course breakdown in detail: Day 1: Basic Practice of Spray Application using the latest high density internal projection plaster. Correct spraying methods in relation to varying substrates, material types and specifications, site conditions, temperature, and how to achieve complete 'finishing time' control. The first step fundementals for forming flat and true wall surfaces.
DAY 2: Machine Introduction, components overview, set-up. How to select the correct rotor and stator per granular-metric curve, distance to be pumped and how to use manometer pressure in set up. (The vital information we cover is not well known, even by machine manufacturers!) Practical demonstration of spraying with wrong set-up and an experience in the resultant problems. Set the machine correctly using the information learnt, more spraying practice and techniques and wall finishing work accompanied with theory..
DAY3: More advanced instruction in machine components. Introduction of new material. Supervised set-up and straight in to wall work and new finishing techniques.
DAY4: Site supply and machine diagnosis. Here we throw an unexpected problem at you where your machine won't spray. This simulates what can happen on site and trains you for fast and precise diagnosis to get up and running. More techniques and wall work with new material.
DAY5: 'Finishing' the material put on the previous afternoon, use of a Britten Double Edge, what it is, how it works and what happens with conventional work without one. (This is brand-new, patented technology that you won't see or get anywhere else!) Further spraying and wall work, short theory exam in the afternoon.
Conclusion: Upon satisfactory completion of the course you will receive certification. There is a lot to learn in 5 days and the course is packed comprehensively. But most people manage successful completion with accreditation. In additon, if our assessors feel that you make the upper grade (many overall factors are taken into consideraton) we will enter your details into our Sub-contractor Database so that you can be contacted for major construction work in the future.
